We really value our charity partners.
The Great Run Charity Programme has grown significantly over the last few years and is a central component of Great Run, with charity runners raising millions for a wide variety of good causes as well as bringing their own personal stories to our events.
In 2008, over 400 charities registered as Great Run Charity Partners and supported us both at our three most established events – the Great North Run, the Great Manchester Run and the Great South Run, which are all sponsored by Bupa – and our developing events in Edinburgh, London, Cardiff and Sheffield and Sunderland.
Television continues to be a strong element of the Great Run formula with Sky Sports now joining the BBC and Five in televising the events and helping to showcase numerous emotive charity stories.
