Over 164,000 people take part in a Great Run event annually – and the number is rising rapidly each year as new events are developed and existing ones become ever more popular.

With each competitor comes not only a new audience, but a 16-week communication plan.

From entering the event to actually taking part we have a long time period in which to build a relationship with them as a consumer and therefore create strong brand loyalty.

Our Great Runner composition is 55% male, 45% female with the average age being primarily 30 to 39.

As a whole they provide a targeted segment of the population keen to improve their:

  • Lifestyle
  • Health
  • Fitness

As a result, they are highly responsive to responsible living messages.

We believe the most effective way of making sure our consumers keep coming back and remain loyal to our brand is to fully understand their expectations and strive to deliver and, where possible, exceed these. We want to know what motivates our runners to take part in our events and what they get from their participation. A full understanding is composed though our marketing function.
