The Bupa Great North Run Pasta Party returns to the Gateshead Quayside on Saturday 15 September as part of a weekend celebration of sport in the North East.

Everyone taking part in the Bupa Great North Run, the Bupa Junior & Mini Great North Run and the brand new Bupa Great North 5k can come along the Pasty Party on Mill Road car park, Gateshead for a bowl of pasta on us!

There'll be a host of live music and entertainment throughout the day, guest appearances from elite athletes, retailers, charities and sports demonstrations. There's also a range of come and try it sporting activities including pole vaulting, golf swing analysis, and horse riding on Queenie- our mechanical horse!

The event will take place at the same site as the Great North CityGames, which sees Team GB & NI take on Team USA and is broadcast live on BBC 1. The event is once again set to bring world-class competition to the NewcastleGateshead Quayside. No tickets are required and the event is free to spectate.

The Bupa Great North Pasta Party is open to anyone, and last year over 18,000 bowls of pasta were served across the day!
