Simplyhealth Great Women's Run

The Simplyhealth Great Women’s Run is the largest women’s only running event in Scotland and is the perfect opportunity to get a team of friends together to take on the 10k or NEW 3k distances.

Whether you walk, run or jog, you will all get that finish line feeling and be able to celebrate in style in the heart of Glasgow’s West End.

“The new route was awesome”, “The atmosphere was electric” & “Amazing entertainment on course” were just some of the comments that we received last year and 2017 is set to be even bigger once again…so what are you waiting for…sign up to today and be part of something GREAT!

10K Course

The new 10k course was a highlight in 2016 and with a few tweaks (no double backs) our runners will once again enjoy running through the heart of the west end and along the quayside. Passing iconic landmarks such as the The Kelvingrove Museum, Glasgow University, The Science Centre & The Hydro will make for a scenic route, not to mention all the bands, pipers and dancers on course to keep you entertained. All waves will be allocated by predicted finish time, but will all have jumping music to build excitement on the start line.

Finishers will receive a special goody bag including a medal, technical T-shirt, water and lots of goodies.

Please note: the course may be subject to change.

3K Course

New for 2017 is a 3k course for those that want to be part of the day but don’t want to take on the 10k route just yet. This is an ideal course if your new to running or on a new fitness plan.

The 3k course will also have a special wave for ‘mummies-n-buggies’ so that mums can take part with their newest family members (baby boys allowed for this race too!!).

Places for the 3k are limited in year 1 so sign up early to avoid disappointment.

For information on when it is safe to start running with your child or post pregnancy please speak to your doctor.

Finishers will receive a medal and bottle of water post race.

Please note: the course may be subject to change.
