OUR 2008 EVENTS PROGRAMME

Tesco Junior and Mini Great Edinburgh Run
This event is back in 2008 and will take place on the afternoon of Saturday 4th May and is available to children of all abilities aged 3-14 years of age. It takes place in The Meadows in Edinburgh and will be split into a mini and junior run.

Junior and Mini Great Manchester Run
The North West's biggest and bext junior running event returns to Sportcity on the eve of the BUPA Great Manchester Run.

This event returns on Saturday 17th May 2008. The mini run is open to children of all abilities aged 3-8 years old while the junior run is open to children of all abilities aged 9-14 years of age.

Junior Coastal Run
After a very successful event in 2007 with record numbers, this event will return for the third time on June 15th. It will take place in Sunderland and on the same day as the Great Women's Run. The junior event will take place in the morning before the Women's Run and the course is a distance of 2.5km and children of all abilities aged between 8 and 14 years old can take part.

Junior Capital Run
The Junior Capital Run is new to the 2008 junior programme of events and takes place on Sunday 20th July in London’s Hyde Park. It is a 2.25km event open to youngsters of all abilities aged 7-14 years. The run takes place before the Bupa Great Capital Run, a 10km event and starts at 9.30am.

Junior Wales Run
After a successful debut in 2007, the Junior Great Wales Run will return in 2008 and will take place on Sunday 27th July. The run and is open to children aged between 8 and 14 years old. To enter, please click here.

Junior and Mini Yorkshire Run
After a successful debut in 2007 where over 500 junior and mini runners took part in the event at the Don Valley Stadium in Sheffield the Junior and Mini Great Yorkshire Run will return in 2008 on Saturday September 6th.. Junior and Mini North Run
Entries are now open. The Junior and Mini Great North Run will take place on Saturday 4th October on the Newcastle Gateshead Quayside and will be part of a great day of athletics. Junior South Run
After another successful event in 2007 the Junior Great South Run will return in 2008 and will take place on Saturday 28th October at Southsea in Portsmouth.

The event is open to youngsters of all abilities aged between 9 and 15 years old who would like to catch the running bug and get involved. The course is approximately 2.5km and runners will be chip timed.

All finishers will receive a goody bag, medal, certificate and Aqua Pura drink.... and you'll get a t-shirt with your race number a couple of weeks before the big day.

Junior Winter Run
The Junior Winter Run returns to Holyrood Park, Edinburgh on Saturday 11th January 2009 and is available for youngsters of all abilities aged 7-13 years of age.

Junior Great Ireland Run
The event is for children aged between 8 and 15 years old can take part in the 3.2km run which winds its way through the beautiful surroundings of Phoenix Park on the outskirts of Dublin. All entrants get a free t-shirt, medal and goody bag!
