Science in Sport plc (AIM: SIS), a leading sports nutrition company that develops, manufactures and markets sports nutrition products for professional athletes and sports enthusiasts, is pleased to announce it has signed its agreement with The Great Run Company.

Endurance sports nutrition pioneers, Science in Sport, have signed an agreement with The Great Run Company through to 2019.

The agreement will cover The Great Run Series with over 230,000 participants a year taking part.

The events programme stretches across the UK from Aberdeen to Portsmouth offering a full range of

distances from 5k through to the half marathon, including the iconic Simplyhealth Great North Run.

Since 1992, Science in Sport has supplied endurance nutrition products to Olympic and world champions, Tour de France winners and amateur athletes. Britain's most decorated Olympian, Sir Chris Hoy, is also an elite consultant for the company along with Mark Cavendish MBE.

All Science in Sport products are Informed-Sport tested and accredited; Science in Sport worked closely with the HFL anti-doping laboratory to develop a world class evolved three-pronged testing system to minimise the risk of product contamination.
