Our official charity partner

Bloodwise (formerly Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research)

Bloodwise are the UK’s largest blood cancer research charity. We fund world-class research and offer expert information and support to anyone affected by leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma and other blood cancer related disorders and we won’t stop until we’ve beaten blood cancer.

By running the Stirling Scottish Marathon for Bloodwise, you’ll receive one of our stunning technical running tops, a fundraising pack and be greeted by a special reception in our huge charity marquee. You’ll even get a free massage after you finish, free of charge! You’ll also be part of the biggest and brightest running team on the course and hear the roar of the loudest cheer team on the route (we have our very own cheer bus!).

By running for Bloodwise, you can help us to beat blood cancer and change the outlook for blood cancer patients across Scotland. We can't do any of this without your support, so why not sign up to run for Bloodwise, the official charity for the Stirling Scottish Marathon, and help us change the world for blood cancer patients and their families?

Friends of ANCHOR
Friends of ANCHOR

The clinics and wards of the Aberdeen and North-east Centre for Haematology, Oncology and Radiotherapy (ANCHOR) Unit operate within Aberdeen Royal Infirmary to treat patients with all forms of cancer, leukaemia and benign blood disorders.

Friends of ANCHOR was set up in 1997 to directly support cancer and haematology patients by committing long-term funding to the following three areas:

Medical equipment
Investing in the latest technology, over and above what NHSG provides, to continually develop and improve cancer diagnosis and treatment.

Patient wellbeing
Offering additional care, comfort and support to patients during their time at the ANCHOR Unit.

Leading cancer research
Funding local cancer research to push the boundaries in the fight against the disease.

Every penny donated to Friends of ANCHOR goes directly to the cause as all of the charity’s running and administration costs are covered by Balmoral Group.
