TEST YOUR KIT

In SwimRun, you have to carry all your kit so that means you’ll be running in your wetsuit and swimming in your trainers. It’s recommended to try this before your SwimRun event so you can see how it feels.

PRACTISE WITH YOUR PULL BUOY

We also recommend to get a pull buoy and practise swimming with it, as it’s really helpful in your swim sections.

SWIMRUN NEWBIE?

Some advice for people doing their first SwimRun and who don’t want to invest in kit straight away is to get an old wetsuit and cut of at the knees.

Also you can get an elastic band from camping shop to tether yourselves together – you don’t need a specialist piece of kit.

And for your shoes, just use normal running trainers, lightweight running trainers or trail shoes.
