Seth is a journalist, presenter and commentator for BBC Radio 5Live and BBC Radio Sheffield. Having being brought up in Sheffield, cycling was only ever fun in one direction, so he is strictly a flat ground specialist, though in recent years it has become a good commuting tool. He will be taking part in the 13 mile distance with his six-year-old son Jonas, and has recently been cycling more frequently with Jonas and his wife Claire.

 

Leonie Kirk

Leonie is a busy mum who uses time on the bike to escape from the chaos that comes with having two young children. She’s new to road cycling and currently training for the 52 miles Great Manchester Cycle.

 

Adam Harding-Jones

Age: 48

Location: Wirral

In 2013 Adam suffered a health scare as a result of his 30 stone weight and made the decision to change his entire lifestyle.  Cycling played a big part in his 10 stone weight loss and he is now training for the 52 miles Great Manchester Cycle.

Ashley Bard

Age: 25

Location: Essex

Ashley is an experienced cyclist.  He commutes 26 miles a day from Essex to central London, rides 100 miles with his club on a weekend and holidays in the Alps on intense training camps twice a year.
