The Simplyhealth Great Manchester Run (19 May) provides an opportunity to inspire the next generation to keep fit and take on a running challenge.

That’s why we’ve created the Manchester Activity Challenge; a non-competitive, cumulative running challenge for kids. Not only will it develop healthy habits to exercise regularly, but its lots of fun also!

The challenge is simple: complete the 10k or Half Marathon (13.1 miles) course, 1 run at a time. Every time a run is completed participants colour in the section on their Activity Tracker until they reach the finish line!

Everyone who completes the challenge will receive a certificate for their efforts. We’re also offering a special prize for all challenge participants who take part in the Simplyhealth Junior & Mini Great Manchester Run on Sunday 19 May!

Take part in:

Simplyhealth Junior & Mini Great Manchester Run:

Children are treated to a full race experience including race bibs, a marshalled route, music and a start and finish line gantry, allowing them to enjoy the thrill of a big sporting event and experience their own finish line moment. All participants receive a finisher’s medal for completing the event – the Mini run (ages 3-8) is approximately 1.5k and the Junior run (ages 9-15) is a 2.5k course. Make it a Great day out for all the family in Manchester.

Everyone who completes the Manchester Activity Challenge AND enters the Simplyhealth Junior & Mini Great Manchester Run will receive a special prize before the event starts on Sunday 19 May. Simply bring your completed tracker with you on the day of the run.
