The Simplyhealth Great Women’s Run is just around the corner, with thousands of women descending on Glasgow to conquer a 10k challenge.

If you’re gearing up to join thousands of great women or still thinking about entering, here’s the lowdown on what to expect on Sunday 10 June.

1) Team Spirit Like No Other

From walkers to joggers and to those looking to smash their personal best, you’re guaranteed to meet women of all abilities and from all walks of life at the Simplyhealth Great Women’s Run.

As you line up on Kelvin Way in Glasgow’s West End, you’ll start as one but finish and celebrate together during an experience that you’ll never forget, whatever your pace or motivation.

2) You'll See the Best of Glasgow

Where else can you start in picturesque, quaint surroundings like Kelvingrove Park before heading out through the bustling West End of Glasgow to take over its city centre streets?

The Simplyhealth Great Women’s Run course is the perfect mix of both an urban setting, passing cultural sights such as the SSE Hydro, complete with a finish line that brings runners back to the leafy home of the Kelvingrove Art Gallery.

3) You'll have 10km of Support

There’s so much to look out for on the Simplyhealth Great Women’s Run course, with nine music points across the 10k. Look out for highlights like the Samba band, full of drums and bass music, a 20 strong dance troupe, carnival music as well as a pipe band set to make sure you get through your run in a party-style!

4) A Little Help goes a Long Way

 When you cross the finish line and collect your medal and finisher’s t-shirt, the event sponsors and partners are on hand to support you in your recovery.
