This summer, runners of all abilities will have the chance to run across one of the world's most iconic finish lines in the former Olympic Stadium at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

The Morrisons Great Newham London Run is set to be the first event to finish back in the Stadium after its redevelopment and will be one of the highlights of an exciting summer of sport.

Scheduled for Sunday July 19  the event will have a range of distances and challenges for everyone from a 10k mass participation run to a Marathon Team Relay and a family event over 2k. All the events use a course taking in many of the iconic venues in Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park including Lee Valley VeloPark, the London Aquatics Centre and will finish inside the Stadium across the same finish line as the stars of 2012, subject to transformation work being completed.

The stadium will also be open to friends and family on the day to ensure everyone taking part is cheered all the way to their Olympic style-finish.

The Morrisons Great Newham London Run is part of the Morrisons Great Run Series, which includes the world's favourite half marathon, the Great North Run.

Brendan Foster, Chairman of organisers Nova International, said: “We will never forget the incredible atmosphere in the London 2012 Stadium and now the public will get the chance to follow in the footsteps of superstars like Usain Bolt, Mo Farah and Jessica Ennis-Hill.”
