Former Soldier Inspiring Others From 12 Stone Loss A former soldier who turned to alcohol and piled on the pounds managed to shed over 12 stone and has turned his life around to inspire others to take up running. He is now one of the key volunteers at Alton Water's Great Run Local. Charity Runners And Jake Wightman Launch Great East Run Runners from East Anglian Air Ambulance charity met Commonwealth bronze medallist Jake Wightman as they launched the 2019 Simplyhealth Great East Run at Ipswich Waterfront. The half marathon will return on Sunday 22 September.
