The Great Stirling Castle Run is close to reaching capacity in its second year, with only 250 places remaining.

On Thursday 28th and Friday 29th November you can nab yourself a bargain on one of the last few places with the fantastic Black Friday 20% discount.

The event is part of Run Stirling, a day-long celebration of running which also includes a cross-country athletics competition organised by Scottish Athletics.

Entries for the scenic 7.4k run, which takes place on Saturday 11 January next year are flying out of the door and organisers expect the event to be sold out by Christmas. So there is no time to lose in securing your place.

The route takes in paths, roads and trails through historic Stirling, with fantastic views of Stirling Castle and famous landmarks like the King’s Knot, Beheading Stone and Gowan Hill.

Alex Jackson, Event Director at The Great Run Company said: “Now there are only a few places remaining there’s no time like the present to sign up for your new year challenge, or to pick up a unique Christmas gift for the runner in your life by buying an entry on their behalf.”

This epic event is the suitable for all ages and abilities and is the perfect way to blow away the new year cobwebs and enjoy a day in the outdoors.

Runners can choose to enter a morning or afternoon slot and when they have completed there own challenge there is the opportunity to watch the action in the Cross Country events or the schools fun run.

Whether you walk, jog or run you can take on the challenge to conquer the castle.
