Complete 21 activities of any distance in January – it’s a challenge for all abilities that celebrates all activity. Walk, jog, run, or do a mix of everything, it all counts. Complete 21 activities or more and we’ll reward your efforts with a snazzy 2 in 1 medal (it doubles up as a fridge magnet!).
For those already firing on all cylinders, there is an optional distance element with a bespoke digital certificate awarded to anyone who completes a distance award.
With 4 hump days (Wednesdays are notoriously tough!) and Blue Monday to get past, it doesn’t matter how you reach the virtual finish line, as long as you keep moving. 2021, the year of the comeback!
The challenge started on 1 January and ends on 31 January – entries are now closed. If you missed out, keep an eye out for the February Accumulator Challenge opening soon.
Complete 21 Activities in January
You can walk, jog or run at any pace and distance comfortable for you. Complete a minimum of 21 activities by 31 January to finish the challenge, and you will receive a special edition medal and digital certificate.
(OPTIONAL) Accumulator Distance Award
There are three optional distance challenges. Depending on how far you walk, jog or run over your 21 (or more!) activities, we will also award you a bespoke digital finishers certificate to download and share:
- Over the first hurdle – 35 Miles
- Off to a flying start – 70 miles
- Firing on all cylinders – 125 miles
You can use our online tracker to log your activities as you go – or use your own tracking app or device to record your activity. Once you have completed 21 (or more) activities and your target distance, simply submit your results and confirm that you have completed the challenge.

If you have any questions about the January Accumulator Challenge, see our FAQ section.
The medal is formed of two magnets, so you can wear it with pride or attach both parts of the medal to your fridge as a daily reminder of your achievement. Digital certificates are available to download when you submit your results.
For international runners, there is an additional £3.50 charge to cover medal postage. Digital certificates are available to download until the results submission deadline.
