AJ Bell Great Birmingham Run | Medal Reveal 2023

Conquer the new route!

The AJ Bell Great Birmingham Run is back, bigger and better than ever in May – and with a BRAND NEW ROUTE! Assemble on Broad Street, with Centenary Square as an impressive backdrop to your pre-race warm up. Run through world-famous Jewellery Quarter, then weave through the streets, passing Grand Central, St Martin’s Church and Digbeth, before crossing the finish line at Smithfield where other medal winners once stood at the Commonwealth Games!

We’ve picked ten scenic spots on the route for you to enjoy as a spectator or runner.

Thousands of Brummie runners taking to the streets every year to challenge themselves and raise cash for charity. There’s everything you’d expect from a Great Run – notorious start line hype, top on-route entertainment and an event village that feels more like an after party – but the carnival atmosphere and the passion and spirit of the runners is all Birmingham. Whether it’s the start line butterflies, doing something incredible for charity, or strangers shouting your name, you have to be there to #feelthefeeling.

Great Birmingham Run entries are open to runners aged 15+ (10k) and 17+ (Half marathon) on the day of the event.
If you have any queries about Great Run events, see our FAQ section here.

Booking fee (£2 per entry) is applied at checkout.
