Celebrate the Great North Run’s official 40th birthday in style by completing the final stretch of your GNR81 virtual running challenge alongside Great North Run founder, Sir Brendan Foster, on Monday 28 June.
Anyone taking part in the GNR81 challenge can put themselves forward (or be nominated) for the chance to run the final stretch alongside the legendary athlete and broadcaster, at the event’s iconic finish line in South Shields, at 8am on Monday 28 June. After finishing the last stretch you will have the opportunity to catch up over a cup of tea.
