Great Run Company Voted Best Uk Event Organiser
The Great Run Company was voted best event organiser in the UK in the Let’s Do This and Runners World Challenge Awards on Monday 16 September. After weeks of ferocious competition, 86,158 total votes were cast across all categories, while voting links were shared over 17,000 times.
The Great North Run was also voted best Flagship event in the UK with a landslide 66% of votes, the Great South Run came in third after the London Marathon and four other Great Run events; the Great Manchester Run, the Great Scottish Run, the Great Bristol Half Marathon and the Great Bristol 10K, placed in the top ten.
Ollie Griffiths, marketing manager at the Great Run Company said, “We’re delighted by the results of The Challenge Awards and want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who voted.
“At Great Run we put our heart and soul into organising fantastic events that welcome people of all ages and levels of ability and this recognition from our customers really means a lot to the whole team.
“We’re looking forward to living up to those expectations as we continually strive to improve all of our events in 2020 and as we celebrate the 40th staging of our iconic flagship event, the Great North Run.”
Winners will be recognised in an evening of celebrations at the Queen’s Club in London on 18 October. Attended by award winners, industry leaders and 10 prize draw winners picked from the 86,158 people who voted, it will definitely be one to remember.
