We want to hear about the volunteers who work silently and selflessly to make AJ Bell Great North Run happen.
We’re on the lookout for outstanding volunteer stories that will leave us ready to give a round of applause.

Nominate a volunteer by sharing their story via the form below before 11:59pm on Monday 31 July.

Terms and Conditions (T&Cs):

1. Eligibility:
The “Greggs, Fuelling Greatness” competition is open to all volunteers participating in the AJ Bell Great North Run.
Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
Employees of Greggs, The AJ Bell Great Run Series, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

2. Entry Submission:
Volunteers can submit entries by filling out the nomination form hosted on greatrun.org.
All entries must be submitted by the specified deadline of 31st July.
Participants may only submit one entry per person.
Entries must provide accurate and complete information.

3. Selection Process:
Greggs and The AJ Bell Great Run Series will review the entries and create a shortlist of nominees.
The shortlisted entries will be presented to the chief executives for final selection.
The selection process will focus on the inspiring nature of the stories and the remarkable contributions of the volunteers.

4. Winner Notification:
Three winners will be chosen by the judges.
The winners will be notified by the week commencing 8th August 2023 through the person who nominated them.
Winners must provide confirmation of their acceptance within seven days of receiving the notification.
If a winner fails to respond within the specified timeframe or is found to be ineligible, an alternate winner may be selected.

5. Prize:
Each winner will receive a £50 Greggs high roller gift card.
The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or any other alternative.
Winners are responsible for any additional costs or expenses incurred while using the gift card.

6. Use of Stories and Images:
By participating in the competition, participants grant Greggs and The AJ Bell Great Run Series the right to use their stories, images, and any related materials for promotional purposes, including but not limited to social media, websites, press releases, and marketing materials.
Winners will be asked to provide images to support their nominations and must ensure they have the necessary permissions for the use of these images.

7. Publicity and Media Coverage:
Winners agree to their names, stories, and images being publicly disclosed and used in media coverage related to the competition and the partnership between Greggs and The AJ Bell Great Run Series.
A press release will be drafted to announce the winners and highlight the competition’s premise.

8. Privacy:
Personal information collected during the competition will be used in accordance with the respective privacy policies of Greggs and The AJ Bell Great Run Series.
The personal information of participants will not be shared with any third parties without explicit consent.

9. General Conditions:
Greggs and The AJ Bell Great Run Series reserve the right to disqualify any participant who violates these terms and conditions or engages in fraudulent activity.
The decision of the judges and chief executives is final and binding in all matters related to the competition.
Greggs and The AJ Bell Great Run Series reserve the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the competition at any time without prior notice, for any reason.
