March Accumulator Challenge
No matter where you live or your gender, join us in celebrating women’s running and RUN AS ONE.
Complete 15 runs (or more!) in March.
Who Run the World?
Girls!
Female runners have played a big part in Great Run’s history; setting landmark records, achieving phenomenal fundraising success, and accomplishing personal running goals at Great Run events across the UK.
In 2019 for the first time in Great Run’s history (sadly all events were cancelled in 2020), half of our runners were female – a monumental shift from where we began in 1981, and we think this is something that should be applauded! To do just that, as well as highlighting International Women’s Day on 8 March, we are proud to launch our Great Run Solo March Accumulator challenge: Run As One.
Complete 15 runs (or more) of any distance in March and you will be rewarded with a unique finisher’s medal and digital certificate. There’s also an optional distance challenge, with a bespoke digital certificate awarded to anyone who completes a distance award.
The challenge starts on 1 March and ends on 31 March. Entries are now closed.
The Challenge
Complete 15 Runs in March
Complete 15 runs (or more) of any distance and at any pace that is comfortable for you. It’s a challenge to celebrate all the female runners out there, but it’s also a challenge open to everyone to enjoy. No matter where you live or your gender, join the challenge and be part of an inclusive running community. Run As One!
(Optional) Accumulator Distance Award
Depending on the distance you cover over your 15 (or more!) runs, we will award you a personalised digital finishers certificate to download and share. Inspired by this month’s theme, the distance awards honour 5 female running pioneers:
- Kathrine Switzer – 26 miles
- Rosa Mota – 50 miles
- Tanni Grey-Thompson – 75 miles
- Paula Radcliffe – 100 miles
- Ingrid Kristiansen – 125 miles
You have the option to use our online tracker to log your runs as you go – live on this page from 1 March – or use your own tracking app or device to record your activity. Once you have completed 15 runs (or more) and your target distance, simply come back and submit your results and confirm that you have completed the challenge.
