Event Timetable
Please note: this is a provisional timetable and may be subject to change. We will communicate your specific wave colour, assembly and start time on your run number.
Run Numbers
Run numbers start to arrive approximately 2 weeks before the event. Once you have your run number you’re all set for race day, simply attach with safety pins and head for the start line. If your run number doesn’t arrive before race day, don’t worry, you can visit the information point to collect a replacement.
If you secured your entry after 10am on Friday 5 May your number will not be posted and you must collect it from the information point on the weekend of the event. Please try and collect it on Saturday, as Sunday is extremely busy. If you do collect on the morning of the event, leave extra time.
The information point is open from:
Saturday 13 May: 10:00 am to 16:00 pm – located at Millennium Square
Sunday 14 May: from 07:30 am – located at Bristol Amphitheatre
OFFICIAL PARTNER
We’re delighted to confirm The Grand Appeal as the Official Partner of the AJ Bell Great Bristol Family Run again in 2023. The Grand Appeal is the dedicated Bristol Children’s Hospital charity, helping sick children and their families by funding life-saving equipment, family accommodation, specialist staff, and much more.
As part of our partnership with Wallace & Gromit’s Grand Appeal, we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the ‘Wrong Trousers’ Wallace and Gromit film by encouraging runners (adults included!) to dress in their own ‘wrong trousers’ for the event. Wallace and Gromit will at the start line to cheer everyone on as they set off towards the 1-mile course, and you can get your photo taken with the famous duo afterwards.
We can’t wait to see your fancy dress this year!

Wrong Trousers
Inspired by our partnership with The Grand Appeal and the 30th anniversary of Wallace & Gromit’s Wrong Trousers film, we’re asking runners – big and small – to wear their ‘wrong trousers’ for the run.
Dig out some of your weirdest and wackiest legwear (or get crafty and make your own), and we’ll see you at the start line!
