The AJ Bell Great Manchester Run is the city’s original and best-loved running event. Great Manchester Run entries are open to runners aged 15+ (10k) and 17+ (Half marathon) on the day of the event. Entry price includes booking fee (£2 per entry). Unfortunately the Great Manchester Run half marathon course is unsuitable for wheelchair participants however we are delighted to accept entries from wheelchair participants of all abilities into the Great Manchester Run 10K.

What You Get

We have made the decision to introduce optional finisher tees to our Great Run events for 2023. You can choose to forgo you finisher tee shirt at the point of entry, and in lieu of this we will make a donation to the National Trust Woodlands Appeal. Find out more here. We will donate a portion of the fulfilment costs for each runner who chooses this option to the fund and commit that this donation to be a minimum of £20,000 in 2023.

East Cheshire Hospice is a warm and welcoming space for adults facing life limiting illness. Providing care, comfort and compassionate support to patients and their loved ones is our number one priority. All of our services are provided free of charge to those who need them. However, only 17% of our funding is from the government and the remainder is donated by the communities we serve: Buxton, Congleton, High Legh, High Peak, Knutsford, Macclesfield, Poynton, Wilmslow and everywhere in between.
