Your Run Number

Run numbers (with timing chip) start to arrive approximately 4 weeks before the event. Once you have your run number you’re all set for race day, simply attach with safety pins and head for the start line. If your run number doesn’t arrive before race day, don’t worry, you can visit the information point to collect a replacement. For information point location and opening times, please see the event guide here.

Please note: If you enter after 10am on Friday 22 September, your run number will not be posted out and you will need to collect it from the information point on the weekend of the event. We are unable to post run packs outside of the UK as we cannot guarantee their safe delivery. They are made ready for collection from the information point.

There has been a route change to the Half Marathon course for this year due to the replacement of the railway bridge on Shields Road, however it remains true to the traditional course and showcases the best of the city.  There are no planned changes to the 10k course at this stage.  Both courses are subject to an official remeasure in September, and any further changes will be communicated then.

Please Note: There will be a number of road closures in place across the City for the event. See Road Closure Information below for full details.

About The Routes

The 10k & Half Marathon will take you on a stunning route through the heart of Scotland’s biggest city, passing some of Glasgow’s most famous landmarks and crossing the mighty River Clyde on four occasions.

Some of the top landmarks to look out for include:

  • The mighty Finnieston Crane on the banks of the Clyde
  • The futuristic Hydro and the unique ‘Armadillo’ music and event venues at the SEC
  • The spires and towers of Glasgow University that rise above the west of the city
  • Scotland Street School – a Charles Rennie MacIntosh classic
  • The majestic Highland Coo’s among the peace of Pollok Country Park
  • Glasgow’s famous bridges – you’ll be crossing four of them including the Clyde Arc aka “The Squinty Bridge” and the Kingston Bridge – the views from there are fantastic!
  • Some of Glasgow’s famous street art on the buildings and bridges around the city
  • Running beneath the imposing McLennan Arch and past the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games Statue as you head towards a grandstand finish in Glasgow Green in the shadow of Nelson’s Monument.
