Francis house Children’s Hospice provides care for children, teenagers and young adults with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. At our base in Didsbury, Manchester we support over 500 families from all over the North West, providing specialist care in a homely, happy and secure place. We help the children to live life to the full and offer much needed support, friendship and encouragement to their families. We need over £4.2 million in charitable donations each year to continue to provide our services which include respite care, sibling support, end of life care and bereavement counselling. St Ann’s Hospice cares and helps around 3,000 patients and their families and carers every year who are affected by cancer and non-cancer life limiting illnesses. We deliver care that is special and unique to each individual person. Around 40% of inpatients at St Ann’s Hospice return home after treatment. We provide care on 3 sites and in people’s own homes, working in partnership with acute hospitals, primary care trusts, community services and voluntary organisations.

Beechwood Cancer Care offers support to people from across the North West with cancer or serious illness. We help with the shock of diagnosis and offer a range of services, from one-to-one counselling, support groups, complementary therapies, and various others – to name but a few. The Beechwood team are on-hand when needed to help when people are feeling ready and well enough to move on. Our Family Team helps children and families cope with the illness or loss of a parent. To continue to provide its services, Beechwood needs £4,000 per day and provides all its services free of charge at point of need. Every step taken by those running for Beechwood today is raising money that will make a huge difference. Thank you to everyone for your support.
