Great Run Announces Leighton Partnership

THE GREAT Run Company have selected North East-based digital transformation and technology company, Leighton, to create a new bespoke registration process for their ever-expanding event schedule.

The Great Run Company organise mass participation running and swimming events with more than 250,000 participants a year taking part.

With headquarters in Newcastle-upon-Tyne and offices in Glasgow, Manchester and London, their events programme stretches across the UK from Aberdeen to Portsmouth offering a full range of distances from 5k through to a marathon, including the Simplyhealth Great North Run, the world’s biggest half marathon.

Leighton were selected from a number of national and international suppliers for their innovation, skillset and experience. The new solution will put the customer at the heart of the process, ensuring that the digital experience meets with customers’ expectations and continues to simultaneously evolve in line with the Great Run Company’s business and its customers.

Based near Durham, Leighton work with brands such as British Airways, Home Group and The Ambassador Theatre Group to support with their ongoing digital strategy, helping improve experiences for their customers and introducing operational efficiencies across many aspects of their business.
