GREAT NORTH RUN ENTRY WITHDRAWAL
If you are unable to run and have to withdraw from the 2021 Great North Run, we will guarantee you an entry for the 2022 event providing that you follow these simple instructions:
- Complete the online withdrawal form below
- Return your run number/timing chip to The Great Run Company, PO Box 1355, Newcastle Upon Tyne NE99 4BZ
All online withdrawals will close at 6pm on Saturday 11th September.
Please note that entry fees are not refundable under any circumstances, (see terms and conditions). However, we do offer the option to apply for a guaranteed entry for the following year. Once the entrant has committed to withdraw their entry they cannot be reinstated into the event. If we subsequently find that a withdrawn race number has been used, the entrant then forfeits their guaranteed entry in the subsequent years’ event.
In order to secure your guaranteed place in 2022, you must meet the deadlines outlined in the withdrawal process and pay the entry fee for the 2022 event.
All deferment requests will be processed after this year’s event takes place; therefore, you will be classed as an entrant until that point and will continue to receive event information.
We will contact you via email in November 2021 with details of how to register and pay for your guaranteed place (please ensure you keep the email on your Great Run account up to date). Great Run cannot be held responsible for unreceived emails; if you have not heard anything by December regarding your 2022 entry it is your responsibility to get in touch to request entry information.
GREAT NORTH RUN ENTRY WITHDRAWAL (DEFERMENT) REQUEST
You will need to enter the last 7 digits of your Great Run Registration ID to complete the form. Your Great Run Registration ID is the unique reference number found in your event entry confirmation email or your Great Run account. e.g. if your reference is SON20S2878R3637354, enter 3637354.
Withdrawal requests for the 2021 Great North Run closed at 6pm on Saturday 11th September.
